Grantham Cricket Club Welcomes Notts CCC 2nd XI Back to Gorse Lane Next Week

Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club’s 2nd XI will be returning to Gorse Lane on Thursday 31st May to host Durham County Cricket Club 2nd XI in a 50 over match starting at 11am.  Having hosted two T20 matches for Nottinghamshire in 2017, the club is delighted to be welcoming the team back in 2018.  Club Chairman Ian Mihill noted that ‘thanks to outstanding work of Head Groundsman Keith Exton, and the rest of the ground team, the facilities at the Club are now of a quality that enables Nottinghamshire CCC to host fixtures at Gorse Lane, and we are absolutely delighted about the relationship with Trent Bridge going forward.  Having Nottinghamshire play at Gorse Lane is a huge privilege, and really positive for Grantham as a whole, so we look forward to welcoming players and spectators to the Club on 31st May.’

All Stars Cricket

Tonight is the Grantham CC All Stars Taster session.

Taking place at the ground at Gorse Lane, we will be running a trial session open to all prospective cricketers between 5 and 8 years old. The trial session is free and, if you decide to give cricket a go, you can sign up for the full 8-week course here.

All sessions take place between 5:30-6:30pm and we encourage all parents to get involved and learn and improve the same skills so you can take the games home with you and practice.

Full information about the course can be found at https://www.ecb.co.uk/play/all-stars

We hope to see you there.
